It’s Monday and I’m looking forward to another week of spinning plates. I take a step back and look at all the projects and life adventures I’m balancing and I see myself looking like this: (note, I have a very colorful imagination)
The reality is, I’m pretty sure I look more like this:
What I “think” I look like vs. how I really look – I’m still spinning lots of plates. It’s exhilarating to have so many opportunities at the same time but what’s important is not a single one drops. Each plate has a different spin, balance, and variables that keep it atop of the pin and spinning in a way that creates a sense of awe in the people watching. The other part is the talent and careful attention the spinner puts into making it work!
I’m a performer but I’m also a servant. It’s my job to take each project, responsibility and client and handle it with the utmost care and responsibility. I embrace this and I look forward to providing an exciting show.
How many plates are you spinning this week? Take time to value each and know there are different elements and details that must be paid attention to. Even if you begin with just one, master that balance and deliver a great show! When you do this, there will never be a dull moment!
